Through the Looking Glass VR Installation Piece
VR NEON MAZE
VIRTUAL REALITY IMMERSIVE MAZE ART INSTALLATION
A 22ft virtual neon maze exploring a new relationship between art and immersion. The piece was created using a HTC VIVE and Google’s Tilt Brush and is intended to be experienced at full scale with participants walking through the maze in a VR headset.
Michelle was invited to showcase the installation piece as part of The Other Art Fair in Los Angeles in October 2018, presented by Saatchi Art.

Virtual reality 6m x 6m exhibition piece for The Other Art Fair Melbourne May 2019, ‘Through the Looking Glass’.
A 6m x 6m immersive installation in virtual reality, showcasing full scale geometric abstract hallways in vibrant colour palettes leading to glass globes featuring tiny sci-fi dioramas.
Inspired by retro bathing houses at the seaside and my local pool, The Spring Hill Baths, retrofuturism, seventies scifi art and french comic book artists.
Painted entirely in VR for VR, created for an immersive art experience.
VR Neon Maze
Every wall of the Virtual Maze has been individually designed to showcase the exploration of immersive media, the piece is another way to contextualize large installation work within a virtual reality space.
Commissioned as part of Saatchi’s The Other Art Fair in Los Angeles in October 2018, the piece proved to be one of the most popular exhibiting installations.
